Native Plantings at San Ysidro Park
This is an on-going restoration project with Santa Fe County at the new San Ysidro Park in the village of Agua Fria. Over 200 volunteers have helped plant native trees, shrubs and wildflowers.

Bats: At Home In Our Watershed
As primary predators of night-flying insect pests, bats are essential to ecosystems and human economies. However, bats remain one of the most threatened orders of mammals on the planet. Over 50 people joined us for an evening of bat observation and a presentation on the ecology and conservation challenges of bats in New Mexico by Dan Taylor of Bat Conservation International.
Reviving Our Endangered River: How Science Can Help
UNM Professor of Biology Clifford Dahm spoke about the science of environmental flows and suggested how to apply this science to the Santa Fe River. His talk drew on his research experience with setting environmental flows in both the US and Australia. Also discussed were methods used for determining how much water a river needs for basic health, and how science can be applied to the restoration of degraded river corridors.
