It's happening again! Join us on Saturday May 31 from 11:00-2:00pm at Alto Park for the Second Annual Santa Fe River Festival and Picnic at Alto Park. The activitites start wiith a Fishing Derby at 8am and a river clean-up from 9-11am as part of National River Clean-up Day.

The Fishing Derby is a City event for Children 12 and under, and will be centered in town between Old Santa Fe Trail and Don Gaspar.  Some of those fish will head downstream and might make it all the way to Alto Park in time for the River Festival at 11am!

River Clean-up groups will cluster along various stretches of river between Don Gaspar down to Casas Solanas (La Montanita Coop) and beyond. For more info about the river clean-up, call Marty Peale at the Watershed Office (820-1696).  You are also welcome to just show up along the river between 9-11am and join a clean-up group.  Please bring your own gloves; we will provide trash bags.

The River Festival will include water activities, games, crafts, and live animals. Bring a picnic and enjoy live music on the grass.  Don't miss this chance to celebrate our river and our community. Download the River Festival flyer here.
